The Autumn 2011 podcast is online and available as a free download below:
Tracklisting
1. Flume – Possum
Flume, aka Harley Streten, is a 19 year old producer from Sydney, Australia. Creating electronic music of a quality far beyond his age, Flume has been creating a stir on Australian finger to the pulse radio station Triple J. ‘Possum’ can be downloaded for free from the Triple J Unearthed website and his three track Sleepless EP is released on Future Classic.

2. Lana Del Rey – Video Games (Jamie Woon Remix)
We first heard Video Games back in May and instantly took to this amazing track. Since then, Lana Del Rey has rightfully been thrust into the limelight, branded an ‘internet sensation’, and had remixes from the likes of Balam Acab, Joy Orbinson and Mover Shaker. Personally, I was a bit sceptical of remixes of such a stripped, powerful tune, but this Jamie Woon remix is a brilliant take.

3. Lise – Cuando El Tiempo Es La Poesía (Parece Constantina) – When Time is Poetry (Like Constantina)
The first of two tracks included in the podcast from ‘Qualquer Frágil Fio de Fantasia’, the amazing new album from Lise. This track has been featured by the Guardian Music, representing Brazil in the Music Alliance Pact earlier this year.

4. Exitmusic – The Sea
Exitmusic are married-duo Aleksa Palladino and Devon Church from New York City. ‘The Sea’, a particularly dynamic track with haunting melodies and a goth-like feel, is taken from their new EP – ‘From Silence’, which explores ‘themes of loss, both personal and universal, the destruction of nature and the destruction of our own nature’.

5. Bos Angeles – Beach Slalom
Hailing from Boscombe, Bournemouth, Bos Angeles describe themselves as ‘bedroom pop grunge lo-fi post-punk surf’. There is a definite sense of surf packed into this 2:35 track and it will be interesting to see what they release in the future. Beach Slalom is available as a free download from their Bandcamp page.
6. The Touch – Blocks
I saw the Touch play the best part of 6 months ago but keep getting drawn back to the melancholic, Joy Division-esque feel of this particular track. Although receiving remixes from big names such as Neon Electric and Voltaire Twins, the Australian band have not made much impact on UK shores. Their EPs 1.1 and 1.1 Remixes are available on iTunes.

7. ASAP Rocky – Wassup
The new rap talent that has already made a name for himself in the US is fast approaching the UK. Rocky received a shinning review from The Guardian’s New Band of the Day journalist Paul Lester, and reviews of his new material are equally as promising. This particular track was made with Clams Casino and will no doubt be available to download in the near future.
